Transalis, tech specialist that underpins billions of pounds’ worth of global trade is celebrating a top regional business award.
Portsmouth-based Transalis helps retailers and other organisations automate their supply chain transactions reducing the need for costly paper documents.
Praised for its innovative approach, the company has been named Best Medium Business of the Year 2017 at the JP South Business Awards in Brighton.
The gong follows a Portsmouth round earlier this year in which Transalis gained the accolades of both Portsmouth Medium Business and Business of the Year 2017.
Transalis co-founders Aniello Sabatino and Paul Simpson along with representatives of ‘Team Transalis’ Marie Sabatino, Mike Humby, Junia Phiong-Humby and Ibrahima Kaba accepted the award at Brighton’s Grand Hotel at the latest awards ceremony.
Aniello said:
“It was a special moment when we heard the name Transalis read out and we all went up on stage. Having already picked up the two Portsmouth awards, it was like winning the cup-winners’ cup as the best of the best. We dedicate this award to our whole team. They are the ones who make it all happen. Most come from the local region and for some we are their first employer after leaving college or university. It’s fantastic that their work can be recognised in this way.”
In their citation judges praised Transalis for growing its customer base, an innovative approach to business solutions and fostering strong and successful team work.
The company counts more than 10,000 users of its global digital platform. Key sectors include retail, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, telecoms, fast-moving consumer goods and health and beauty. Among the client base are leading brand names such as Amazon, Microsoft, Pret a Manger and AS Watson, the company that owns Superdrug in the UK.
Transalis’ cloud-based applications currently facilitate the exchanges of 40 million digital documents a year, underpinning £3 billion of stock orders across 32 countries.
Paul added:
“Our award wins will help us continue to raise our profile and grow the company, building new partnerships and client relationships.”
The JP South Business Awards, now in their seventh year, recognise achievement and business excellence across the south coast business community. Category sponsor for Medium Business of the Year was Chichester Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
